 The 7th Calvia Chess Festival is set to take place from 9 to 17 October 2010 in Calvia, Spain. The Festival consists of Amateur International Open and U16 Rapid & Blitz. 97 players are registered for the Amateur Open.VII Amateur International Open * 9 round Swiss. 90 minutes + 30 seconds after each move. Valid for FIDE rating * Rounds 1 to 7 at 20:30h, round 8 at 15h, round 9 at 10h * Festival venue: Sala Palmanova- C/ Na Boira 2 – Palmanova (Calvià ) * Closing ceremony: Sunday October 17th at 15h. * Eligibility: players < 2300 Elo FIDE in the 1st September list (no IM or GM). * 3 half point bye are allowed till the 7th round if requested before the start of the previous round. Prize fund is 6.800€ + 1.200€ inspecial prizes, with 1.500,00 € reserved for the winner. More information on the official website |
