WHAT'S NEXT FOR CHESS

In the last few days after MSSM, sports have been the headlines by the Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Education: wants sports to be a revenant culture to cultivate in school.
But where is the position of CHESS ?
As Sifu have blogged in past posts, as long as chess is not considered sports, chess will only be a step child not a favourite child.  Why not push for chess to be a sports entity ?  Not until Chess is accepted in Olympics or Asia or Commonwealth Games, it will not be the elite sports in the eyes of administrators of sports.
The good news is the commitment of FIDE President to push for Chess to be accepted in Olympics but when it be accepted is another question, even squash is not an Olympics item.
What we need is a campaign and a committee to push for all these, the Malaysian Goverment could be the role model to push for this with the lead by FIDE and Squash World body.
Sifu will Facebook and Buzz to push for Chess  to be accepted as sports and be listed in Olympics and hope all Facebook, bloggers and Buzz followers will support.
Make CHESS accepted as sports and make CHESS an Olympics event

INSPIRASI

Warisan

Disini lahirnya sebuah cinta
Yang murni abadi sejati
Disini tersemai cita cita
Bercambah menjadi warisan

Andai ku terbuang tak diterima
Andai aku disingkirkan
Kemana harusku bawakan
Kemana harusku semaikan cinta ini

Betapa
Dibumi ini ku melangkah
Keutara selatan timur dan barat
Ku jejaki

Aku
Bukanlah seorang perwira
Gagah menjunjung senjata
Namun hati rela berjuang
Walau dengan cara sendiri
Demi cinta ini

Ku ingin kotakan seribu janji
Sepanjang kedewasaan ini
Ku ingin sampaikan pesanan
Aku lah penyambung warisan
**Merisik Khabar** Sudirman/Manan Ngah/Habsah Hassan

Terkapar-kapar ku kelemasan
Sakit dilambung ombak kerinduan
Di dalam tidur di dalam jaga
Diburu oleh mimpi yang serupa
Mengapa aku jadi tak menentu
Keranamu…
Ku menyusuri jalan berliku
Membiarkan hari-hari berlalu
Tiada salam tiada pesan
Memaksa diri untuk melupakan
Namun wajahmu bermain di mata ku
Tiap waktu…
( korus )
Malam ku suram, siang ku kelam
Ku kegelisahan, mencari-cari
Kemana pergi, harga diri ini
Bertanyakan berita, merisik khabar
Mendengar cerita, melaluinya
Kau kuhampiri, tiap hari
Bersama luka dihati
Mengapa aku jadi tak menentu
Kerana mu…

Sports to be a must in schools By ROSLINA MOHAMAD

roslina@thestar.com.my
Sports activities will be made compulsory in 10,000 schools nationwide starting next year and each student will be required to select a game of his or her choice.
Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said this meant that sports would have a separate syllabus and would no longer be part of the co-curriculum activity as is the current practice.
“The co-curriculum syllabus will be revamped to make sports an activity with its own programme and allocation and not be included with arts and uniformed bodies.
“Schools will be provided with more sports teachers while allocations will be increased to improve the infrastructure as part of efforts to bring glory back to sports,” he told reporters after closing the Pahang Umno convention here yesterday.
He said a committee has been set up to look into the revamp besides looking into ways to credit those who were active in sports.
“By giving additional marks to them, it would help to encourage them to excel both in sports as well as academically,” he added.
Stating that sports were good for mental as well as physical health besides inculcating leadership qualities, Muhyiddin noted that parents nowadays stressed too much on academic achievement.
He said currently sports activities in schools started a few months after the start of a new term until the middle of the year, with none at all for the rest of the year.
Muhyiddin said schools would have more time to arrange its sports and academic calendar when the implementation started next year.
Sifu says that now we need thinking leaders and school being the breeding ground for future leaders is the best pioneer outpost but teach the correct methodology and ideas but before all these what we need are the correct breeders, leaders and managers.  Train or retrained them on the new and correct methodologies just do not leave it to the wind or they will be like lalangs, flowing where the wind blows. Guide and lead them to the correct path.

Kembalikan gemilang sukan kita

Oleh Mohd Azis Ngah

Kurikulum sekolah dirombak selepas 20 tahun terpinggir

MENCARI PEMAIN OKU BARU

ORANG -UTANS

Gorillas, orang-utans and a cyanide-eating lemur are among the world’s 25 most critically endangered primates, scientists have said.
Almost half of the world’s primate species are in danger of extinction, according to the Red List drawn up by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
Deforestation and hunting have pushed some of mankind’s closest relatives to the brink, with some species down to their last few dozen animals. Of the world’s 634 species of primates, 48 per cent are threatened with extinction, but researchers want attention focused on the 25 most critically endangered.
These include the Cross River gorilla, confined to the hills of the Cameroon-Nigeria border. It is thought that fewer than 300 remain, as farmers clear the forests where they live. Also listed is the Sumatran orang-utan, one of only two species of the ape, now found in the wild only at the northern tip of the Indonesian island, where about 6,600 remain.

Many of the most endangered primates are unique to the island of Madagascar, among them the greater bamboo lemur, numbering little more than a hundred individuals. The species eats only giant bamboo, which contains high levels of cyanide — meaning the lemur theoretically ingests enough of the poison every day to kill it. How it survives is a mystery.
“They seem to have a way of avoiding the effects of the cyanide,” said Christoph Schwitzer, of the Bristol Conservation and Science Foundation, and one of the editors of the report Primates in Peril. “We reckon it’s eating earth, which binds the cyanide into a compound which makes it harmless to the respiratory system. But it needs more research.”
The lemurs cope with poison but are being wiped out by slash-and-burn farming and illegal logging. Also endangered on the island is the Sclater’s black lemur, the only primate other than human beings to have blue eyes.
“The biggest threat to most primates is destruction of forests,” Dr Schwitzer said. “In Madagascar it’s subsistence agriculture, in Asia it’s palm oil plantations, in South America it’s illegal logging. What needs to be done is habitat protection.”
The variegated spider monkey faces a different problem: it lives in a small patch of Colombia controlled by the Farc rebel group. This has prevented conservationists getting near it — even as its habitat is lost to drug cultivation.
Several Asian animals are threatened by use in traditional medicines. These include the Javan slow loris and the golden-headed langur, which is confined to Cat Ba, a small island in the Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam. Only about 60 or 70 remain. But the smallest numbers do not necessarily mean most endangered. “A hundred to two or three thousand doesn’t make that much of a difference. One natural catastrophe can wipe them out,” Dr Schwitzer said.
The speed at which habitats are disappearing and the absence of conservation were taken into account in drawing up the list. Russell Mittermeier, president of Conservation International, said: “Our Top 25 list is to attract the attention of the public, to stimulate governments to do more, and to find the resources to implement conservation measures.”
Conservation success in Brazil has meant the black lion tamarin and golden lion tamarin being removed from critically endangered lists.

TO REVIEW PENALTY RED CARD AND SUSPENSION

The motion by FIFA  in football and the thought to review the present punishment on one action of a player that is to stop or prevent a goal opportunity with a foul that resulted in the player being red card, a penalty awarded and further suspension as a straight red card means two or three games suspension, please ponder why chess could be as constructive.

Chess do not have red or yellow as in football or green as warning in hockey or do chess need them !!
Let Sifu jot a few cases that had happened on the local chess scenes.

1. A young player lost a crucial game in the last moments, then upset the table, throwing clock and pieces to the floor. A rude destructive move uncalled for by a young talented player.  There was still a round to go but he will only be runners up.
The Arbiter demanded the player pick up the pieces, set up the table, and found the clock in working order. The Arbiter suspended the player and ask him to leave the tournament.
So a red card and punishment but no further action as  the player later oppologised and subsequently stop playing for some time.

2. A young school team player lost a game but took his time in leaving the playing hall as he felt bad in letting his team down in the crucial match as winning would mean a MSSKL Upper Secondary Boy Team Champion.
The Arbiter subsequenly gave him a warning to leave the hall.  He was not talking nor disturbing except the rule want all players that finished the game to leave the playing hall.  He left the table but stands at the door to be engrossed in the game of his other three team mates.
The International Arbiter disqualified him for not following the instruction but he had lost his game so could not be penalised and the FIA disqualified his other three team members that was still playing !!! And the team got 0 points for that round. The reason : an Arbiter has the absolute power.

Only Allah have absolute power.  Tiada orang yang lebih berkuasa melainkan Allah.

So what it means not one red card but four red cards and subsequently the team lost the championship by one and half points after being punished for three points.
An appeal was made and RM200 deposited, the Appeal board had the FIA as a advisory member, so it resulted,  that the Arbiter have absolute power and the board back his decision but the Appeal money was returned as the Board feel the school should not be punished as enough punishment was made.
Letters were send to various authorities but the answer being it is just a school championship and all matters lies with the school and appeal board.  Some of the Appeal Board could not challenged the Chairperson as she was over board and all being teachers could not go against a senior member and since nobody want to get involved .
The school lost an appeal but won the war but it could not changed the result or the thinking of the FIA or even MCF.
An appeal to FIDE should have been made as the FIA make a mockory of chess arbitership but its history but remembered and now blogged as justice could be made till death.

3. At a national team championship, a team which submitted their team list on time as and when an FIA announced that non submission would mean the team will play as in order of team registration list as rank one to four.
The FIA refused to accept the list as he commented that the list must be submitted before the stiputated time. He subsequently tore the team list and wrote a new team list of players one to four.  He gave a red card as he has absolute power and team lost two points as two of their team members have gone home and reserve players were suppose to play in replacement.

4.  A team coach start a clock of their player when the Arbiter had given permission to that particular game to start half an hour late as the oppornent had applied for permission and was allowed as she has to take an exam paper that morning, she came only ten minutes late.
Now with Zero start all this is not possible or possible !!
As in a chess game only the players could touch the clock and the coach should not interfere in the game, the coach was asked to leave the playing hall as punishment or red card.  He returned to be involve in subsequent rounds as enough punished was made.

Let you ponder over these facts that had happened in the local Malaysian scenes and involved FIDE International Arbiters and let you evaluate it. as an  FIA must be absolute objectivily, demostrated at all times during his activity as an arbiter; means he must be a person of sound mind, fair, friendly but firm and well knowledge on chess, finally he must be a man of substance and principle to be fair at all times.

So chess should also then introduce green, yellow and red cards for chess games and take actions against arbiters if such major wrong decisions are made, then the Arbiter should be suspended or punished as seem fit.  An arbiter must be fair and quantify all reasons before judgement or reasons made and given. And lastly he must be of sound mind and qualified.

SWEET BASIL - SELASIH HIJAU

Sweet Basil (Selasih Hijau)

Sweet Basils or Ocinum basilicum Linn. is also very common in Malaysia. Medically sweet basils are used for curing coughs, irrigular menstral, tooth ache, iching throat, insect bites and skin disease.

SERAI - LEMON GRASS

Lemon Grass (Serai)

The Lemon Grass or Cymbopogon citratus is a very popular plant and is frequently grown at home. It main use is as a spice in cooking as well as an ingredient for enhencing taste and fragrance. The leaves are used for making Lemon Grass Tea. It various medicinal uses are for curing head ache, stomach ache, and as a mosquitoe repelent.

Its multiple usage makes it a popular plant easily avaliable and sold in bundles in almost all green outlet like market etc.
The picture shows clump of lemon grass.
Gambar menunjukkan serumpun pokok serai.

Sifu will start a new series on traditional plants and its usage but please beware its medical usage is traditional so check with your doctor for varification .

Sifu and OKU

                                           Farah AF mencuba catur braille
Sifu rasa amat bertuah dapat bersama OKU bermula dengan orang cacat penglihatan bersama Mah Hassan Omar awal 80an dahulu.  Catur dengan OKU bermula di Kejohanan Catur OKU di Dayabumi dengan PCMM dibawah kepimpinan Ir Wan Mohd. Yusuf Wan Othman.

WOMEN : BORN TO WIN

Caster Semenya

By Ian O'Reilly
BBC News
With the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games under way, leading sporting bodies continue to be embroiled in one of sport's biggest controversies - the gender verification testing of female athletes.
In January a symposium of experts in Miami concluded that some athletes discovered to have gender ambiguities be advised to have treatment, possibly even surgery, to continue competing at international level.
Last week the International Olympic Committee's General Assembly was briefed by the head of its Medical Commission Professor Arne Ljungqvist who recommended that "strategically located centres of excellence should be established to which athletes with a DSD (disorders of sex development) could be referred and, if necessary, further investigated and treated."
"To be clear women are the target here. This issue is about the classification of female athletes not male athletes. There is little sporting advantage to a male athlete having a low testosterone level, however, there can be significant advantages to a female athlete in having a higher testosterone level," says Michele Veroken, a leading sports integrity and ethics specialist.
But is it really necessary to check that female athletes are actually women? Have men competed as women in the past?

Does this apply to chess ? Unlike other sports only chess see women playing in men championship or more like playing in Open Championship and winning them !! Look at the Polgar sisters especially Judith who did not play in women championship except in women Olympiad Team. Judith is a GM not WGM for note.

•  She won the Japfa Classic over 2 world champions!
-- greatest victory ever by a woman until that time.
     •  She won a match against former Champion Karpov w/ no losses.
     •  Beat world #2 Viswanathan Anand then, with a brilliant combination,
using multiple sacrifices to win on move 35!
     •  Beat Fischer's record by becoming youngest GM - 15 yrs, 4 months. old.
     •  FIDE World Championship semifinalist
     •  1998 U.S. Open Champion - the only woman to ever win it.
     •  Won Hoogeveen '99 (category XV).
     •  When she was 12 Judit & her sisters near singlehandedly defeated the Soviets.
     •  Once rated in the top ten worldwide - as high as 2670.

So in local chess  senario, women have excelled to beat and swipe men egos off the board.  At one time it was of note as who will be the next victim to be President (only  for men beaten and of the highest ranking) of Siti Zulaika's, Nur Shazwani's, Eliza Hanum's, Audrey Wong's, Seto Wai Ling's Fan Club !!

May be these fan clubs should be noted and formed officially. Please update me of noted ranked players list in these fan club well Sifu had the opportunity of being a member in Siti Zulaika's (lost in Khallies Castle Allegro) and Audrey Wong's (lost in Selangor Club Allegro) Fan Clubs.  Come on throw your ego aside as you cannot hide the fact that they, these women, have beaten you. Lets get listed or get top players listed if you could remember.  Well these ladies could remember the top men they have beaten email it to Sifu and the fan club list will be posted.

Sifu still remember an elderly player losing to Seto Wai Ling (who was 14 years old then) and Audrey Wong (16 ?)  in a Malaysian Open at Wisma MAA in early 80's, as sifu was assisting Lawrence How, and claimed  how these beauties distracted him as he could not look up into their faces.  But the fact was, these beauties were awesome and brilliant chess players then to become FIDE Master and International Master.  May be sifu have to look up at chess reports then and republished.

So men beware Born To Win by women is not something new in chess it had happened and will continue to happened so do not be surprise if a women becomes the chess world champion next !!

GRISCHUK WINS 62nd. RUSSIAN CHAMPIONSHIP

                                                Diagram 2 and 3

Daily Express UK

Diagram 1

Sunday January 10,2010
By Luke McShane

ALEXANDER Grischuk was deserving winner of the 62nd Russian Championships. This was his first national title, though I don’t expect it will be his last.

In the Superfinal, which was a 10 player round robin, Grischuk edged out top seed and five times champion Peter Svidler by half a point, winning with 6.5/9.

With five players rated above 2700 (the world’s top 34), the Championship remains formidably strong even after the breakup of the Soviet Republics, with Russia occupying five places in top 20 world rankings.

Alexander Grischuk - Sanan Sjugirov
(Moscow, 2009)

1.e4 c5
2.Nf3 d6
3.d4 cxd4
4.Nxd4 Nf6
5.Nc3 a6
6.Be3 e5
7.Nb3 Be6
8.Qd2 Be7
9.f3 0–0
10.0–0–0 Qc7 11.g4 Rc8 12.g5 Nh5 13.Kb1 Nd7 14.f4 exf4 15.Bxf4 Nxf4 16.Qxf4 Ne5 At first sight it looks a little odd for White to have given up his dark squared bishop and given Black a good square for the knight on e5.
Diagram 2 (left) and Diagram 3

But White's attack on the kingside develops rather straightforwardly now. 17.h4 Qb6?! Taking the pressure off c2 allows Grischuk to achieve Nc3-d5 very easily. 18.Nd5 Bxd5 19.Rxd5 a5 20.Rb5 Qc7 21.Nd4 a4 22.a3! Black's queenside counterplay is stopped altogether.

22...Ra5 23.h5 Bf8 23...Rxb5 24.Bxb5 Qd8 25.g6 hxg6 26.hxg6 Nxg6 27.Qg4 is only temporarily acceptable. White will capture on a4, post the bishop on b3 and keep battering at the kingside without any fear of counterplay.

24.g6! Rxb5 25.Bxb5 Qb6 26.gxf7+ Kh8 27.h6! A nice combination to wrap up the game. 27...Qxd4 28.hxg7+ Bxg7 29.Qf5 Ng6 30.Qxc8+ Nf8 31.Qc3! 31.c3?? Qxe4+ drops the rook on h1. 31...Qxe4 32.Rg1! (see diagram 1)

Artyom Timofeev - Denis Khismatullin
(Moscow, 2009)

1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.Bb5+ Bd7 4.Bxd7+ Qxd7 5.c4 Nc6 6.Nc3 g6 7.d4 cxd4 8.Nxd4 Nf6 9.f3 Bg7 10.Be3 0–0 11.0–0 Rac8 12.b3 a6 13.a4 Qd8 14.Qd2 Qa5 15.Rfd1 Rfd8 16.Rac1 Nd7 17.h3 Nxd4 18.Bxd4 Bxd4+ 19.Qxd4 Qc5 20.Kf1 Qxd4 21.Rxd4 Nc5 22.Rb1 a5 23.Ke2 f6 24.Kd2 Kf7 25.Kc2 g5 26.Nd5 h5 27.Ne3 h4 28.Rd5 Rc6 29.Rbd1 Rdc8 30.Rf1 Rb6 31.Rb1 Rbc6 32.Rd2 Ne6 33.Kc3 Nc5 34.Nd5 Ne6 35.Rf1 Rg8 36.Ne3 Rb8 37.Nf5 Rb6 38.Rfd1 Ra8 39.Rd5 Nc7

The game has been quiet up to this point, but I was watching online and had the impression Timofeev believed in his chances. After much shuffling, he created the opportunity for a very imaginative idea here.

40.Rb5! Nxb5+ Maybe Black came to regret this move, the last move before the time control at move 40...Rxb5 was possible, but White would preserve winning chances. Less good was 40...Raa6, when 41.b4! is strong, as Black's pieces end up in a real tangle.

41.axb5 Probably stronger than 41.cxb5, although that was probably quite playable too. I'm sure Timofeev had to trust his judgement here. There is no guarantee of actually winning the miserable rook on b6, but extracting it causes Black massive inconvenience.

41...Ke8 42.Ra1 e6 43.Ne3 d5 Black couldn't delay this forever. White was threatening Ra1–a4, followed by Kc3-d4 and b3-b4 44.exd5 Rd6?! [44...exd5? 45.Nxd5 wins a whole rook as White threatens to take on b6 or give check on c7.; 44...Kf7 might have been a better defence though.

45.Ra4 exd5 46.Nxd5 Rd6 47.Kd4 Re8 48.Rxa5 Re2 would give Black meaningful counterplay] 45.c5 Rdd8 46.Kd4 Timofeev concentrates on locking up the rooks. [46.dxe6 Rac8 offers some counterplay.] 46...Rac8 This meets with an amazing refutation. [46...exd5 was the alternative. 47.Nxd5 (47.Nf5 is also promising.) 47...Kf7 48.c6 certainly offers White good winning chances.] 47.Rxa5! e5+ 48.Kc4 b6 49.b4!! [49.Ra6 Rxc5+ 50.Kb4 was probably strong too, but it's messy. 49...bxa5 50.bxa5 (see diagram 2) A wonderful idea. The rooks are no match for the wall of infantry.

50...Ra8 51.a6 e4 52.fxe4 Kd7 53.Nf5 Re8 54.c6+ Kd8 55.Nd6 Re7 56.Kc5 f5 57.exf5 Re2 58.Nb7+ Ke8 59.d6 Rxg2 60.d7+ Ke7 61.f6+ Kxf6 62.c7 (see diagram 3)

Heart Attacks Tips to Share

Why keep aspirin by your bedside?
About Heart Attacks

There are other symptoms of an heart attack besides the pain on the left arm.
One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating, however these symptoms may also occur less frequently.
Note: There may be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack.
The majority of people (about 60%) who  had a heart attack during their sleep, did not wake up.  However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.
If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth(under your tongue)  and swallow them with a bit of water.
Afterwards:
-phone a neighbour or a family member who lives very close by
-on your mobile use number 5, find the difference to the other numbers, store in a number for emergency, called ICE (in case of emergency)-say"heart attack!"
-say that you have taken 2 aspirins.
-take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival and...
~do NOT lie down~

TIPS FOR THE BRAIN and YOU

Received these in the mail and would like to share
BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS
cid:1.1724009919@web50306.mail.re2.yahoo.com

1. No Breakfast

People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level. This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

2 . Overeating=2.0

It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.

3. Smoking

It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

4. High Sugar consumption

Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

5. Air Pollution

The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

6 . Sleep Deprivation

Sleep allows our brain to rest.. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells..

7. Head covered while sleeping
Sleeping with the head covered increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

8. Working your brain during illness

Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.

9.. Lacking in stimulating thoughts

Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.

10. Talking Rarely

Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain

The main causes of liver damage are:

cid:2.1724009922@web50306.mail.re2.yahoo...com

1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are main cause.

2. Not urinating in the morning.

3 . Too much eating.

4. Skipping breakfast.

5. Consuming too much medication.

6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.

7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil.

As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is  very fit.

8. Consuming raw (overly done) foods also add to the burden of liver.

Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

We should prevent this without necessarily spending more. We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our bodies to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to 'schedule.'

The top five cancer-causing foods are:

1.. Hot Dogs

cid:3.1724009922@web50306.mail.re2.yahoo.com

Because they are high in nitrates, the Cancer Prevention Coalition advises that children eat no more than 12 hot dogs a month. If you can't live without hot dogs, buy those made without sodium nitrate.

2. Processed meats

cid:4.1724009922@web50306.mail.re2.yahoo.comcid:5.1724009922@web50306.mail.re2.yahoo.com

Also high in the same sodium nitrates found in hot dogs and other processed meats raise the risk of heart disease. The saturated fat is the danger.

3. Doughnuts

cid:6.1724009922@web50306.mail.re2.yahoo.com

Doughnuts are cancer-causing double trouble. First, they are made with white flour, sugar, and hydrogenated oils, then fried at high temperatures. Doughnuts, says Adams , may be the worst food you can possibly eat to raise your risk of cancer.

4. French fries

cid:7.1724009922@web50306.mail.re2.yahoo.com

Like doughnuts, French fries are made with hydrogenated oils and then fried at high temperatures. They also contain cancer- causing acryl amides which occur during the frying process. They should be called cancer fries, not French fries, said Adams .

5. Chips, crackers, and cookies

cid:8.1724009922@web50306.mail.re2.yahoo.comcid:9.1724009922@web50306.mail.re2.yahoo.comcid:10.1724009922@web50306.mail.re2..yahoo.com

All are usually made with white flour and sugar. Even the ones whose labels claim to be free of trans-fats generally contain small amounts of trans-fats.
