Chess in Olympics ?!!

Fide President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov is campaigning hard to include chess in Olympics, if chess is not in the summer Olympics then the Winter Olympics seem attractive.

The main topic of the most meeting with different Olympic Councils being the introduction of chess to the program of Winter Olympic Games. The idea is well accepted and  supported the offer and efforts of Kirsan Ilyumzhonov and noted that he will discuss this question with Jacques Rogge, President of International Olympic Committee during the forthcoming meeting in January 2011.

So chess friends, Chess will finally be an Olympic event in the near future and hopefully Malaysia will also support this proposal and put chess in its rightful place at the Olympics.

This idea is great and Malaysia should follow suit in its campaign to include Squash in the Olympics so winter Olympics is an idea to start with since squash could not get into the summer games Why Squash is not included in Olympics is beyond logic !!
