2011 World Team Chess Championships
The 2011 World Team Chess Championships will take place in Ningbo, China from 15-27 July.
Sergey Karjakin (pictured) will lead the reigning champions Russia in the defence of their title in this round-robin team competition.
Each team consists of four players plus a reserve and a coach. The time control is 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, then 30 minutes to finish plus an increment of 30 seconds/move from the start of the game.
The countries taking part are:
1. China (host country)
2. Russia (winner 2009)
3. Ukraine (Olympiad 2010)
4. Israel (Olympiad 2010)
5. Hungary (Olympiad 2010)
6. Azerbaijan (Europe qualifier)
7. India (Asia qualifier)
8. USA (America’s qualifier)
9. Egypt (African qualifier)
10. Armenia (FIDE President's nomination)

Despite the high standard of the event, there is not yet an obvious official website. Hopefully there should be more information soon, with this Chinese chess news blog worth keeping an eye on.
